The world’s most expensive gingerbread house has been created, adorned with diamonds valued at a staggering £6 million. Made by renowned designer Debbie Wingham, the cake was created for a client who is planning to propose over the festive season. The food artist spent two weeks crafting the house which draws inspiration from Dolce & Gabbana and used 15kg of flour and 17 kilos of sugar. The gingerbread creation features intricately patterned edible rice paper 'designer' clothes hung up inside. To enhance its beauty, a sumptuous homemade marshmallow was used to create a stunning snowy landscape. The edible components of the masterpiece consist of a harmonious blend of ginger cookies forming the structural foundation complemented by icing sugar, chocolate, sprinkles, and fondant, meticulously applied for decorative accents. Within the sugary wonderland lie three dazzling diamonds, valued at a total of £3.1 million alongside three additional individual pink diamonds, each worth just over £1 million. The newly-engaged couple will be using the diamonds to create their own ring.
