00:00 What's the best thing about being part of a small company? I think one of the

00:04 best things about being part of a small company is you get a lot more

00:07 recognition for what you do. You work closely with your colleagues and quite

00:12 often the business owners, whereas when you're part of a big company you just

00:17 become faceless and very much a number. Yeah and what things do you have on offer here?

00:22 So we're selling pastel de lata which is a Portuguese custard tart if we were to

00:27 describe it in English. It's a classic sort of breakfast pastry in Portugal or

00:33 just all time of the day pastry really. Coffee and a nata is a very traditional

00:39 thing to do in Portugal. Of course so this is a traditional pastel de lata.

00:43 I'll just cut that open there so you can see exactly what it is. So you've got a

00:48 layered filo pastry with like a rich sort of creamy vanilla center. That's the

00:53 classic Portuguese nata and then these flavors here, this is us being English

00:58 messing with everybody else's food. You don't get flavors like this in Portugal.

01:02 We've added chocolate orange, chocolate, biscoff, lemon, cherries and raspberries.

01:08 So what's the best thing about owning your own business? Okay so the best thing

01:13 for me is I am meeting new people every single day. Where you can see in Leeds,

01:19 Leeds is one of the busiest cities and one of the best markets so far. Loads of

01:24 people comes around here. There's a shopping center on the left, there's High

01:28 Street on the right which is like about six seven exits and I'm loving new

01:32 meeting new people every single day and what I'm gonna explain to you a little

01:37 bit about my business. What I do, I do Greek olives and I've got Turkish delights

01:42 and I've got Turkish chef who makes fresh baklava every day which you can

01:47 see. So I offer the customers to try before they buy anything in my stall.

01:53 You never know they have tried it somewhere else and they come and just

01:56 buy and I say no. Please I put this toothpick in the olive and I offer them to try one.

02:02 After trying they can buy anything they want. I have to be make sure my customer

02:08 is satisfied what they're buying from me or what they haven't cause I want my

02:14 customers to come back again and again and again which will make me happy and I

02:19 know they are happy that's why they come back to me. Thank you very much and I

02:22 love you all. What do you like most about being part of a small business?

02:25 Travelling the country and meeting customers. And what do you have on offer here?

02:31 We have a selection of festive cakes. We're offering mulled wine, mulled gin, mulled cider, hot chocolate and you can always have your favourite chip all in with the hot chocolate as well.
