00:17 Hundreds of individuals experienced frustration and endured lengthy waits

00:22 as they sought to take advantage of the 50% discount on traffic summonses

00:26 in conjunction with the one-year anniversary celebration of the Medadi government

00:30 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium beginning today.

00:33 The crowd had started to arrive as early as 8am, and three hours later,

00:38 more than 4,000 people had registered in the queuing system,

00:41 with fewer than 200 people having been served.

00:44 As the frustration and anger built up,

00:46 many slammed the organisers for their poor management of the programme.

00:50 Andy Chew from Rawang said he received different instructions from different

00:54 officers on the ground on where the payment counters were located.

00:57 A woman, who only wanted to be known as Aman, criticised the authorities for holding the

01:02 discount promotion on the same day as the Malaysia Cup final,

01:06 causing traffic congestion since early morning.

01:08 Aman also said a smoother summons payment process would reduce the risk of COVID-19

01:14 infections spreading, especially as Malaysia was experiencing a spike in the number of cases.

01:19 The promotion will continue from 9am to 6pm until Sunday.
