It will be a snowy end to the week across most of the Rockies, with some snow possible in the lower elevations, including Denver
Transcript
00:00 Once again, some energy moving across the Rockies,
00:02 and you know what that means.
00:04 There's snow on the way tonight through tomorrow.
00:07 We do have an area of snow,
00:09 not just for the Rockies,
00:10 but even out toward the Wasatch as well.
00:13 If you live in Park City out toward Provo,
00:15 you'll probably get a couple of flakes.
00:17 Park City more so being higher in elevation.
00:19 In fact, how about we show you the numbers here?
00:22 This is what we're looking at
00:24 widespread across the region.
00:25 Again, Provo,
00:26 you're more in that three to six.
00:27 Once you get to higher elevations,
00:29 you're in that six to a foot range.
00:31 More of the same as we look across the
00:33 Rockies out toward the West of Denver
00:35 into cities like Breckenridge Ski Resorts.
00:37 They're going to love this.
00:38 In fact,
00:39 they're going to love this so much that I
00:41 think we should do a little ski forecast here.
00:44 How about we start in Aspen where?
00:46 Yes,
00:46 we do have an Accuweather wintercast.
00:48 Let's dig in here 27 degrees on Friday
00:50 and two to four inches of snow as we
00:52 look through 4:00 PM on Thursday all
00:54 the way to Saturday early morning.
00:56 That's pretty solid if you ask me.
00:57 So skiers and snowboarders some
00:59 fresh powder for you.
01:00 Now we'll head to Deer Valley.
01:02 I've always wanted to ski out in the Wasatch.
01:04 I've never done it,
01:05 but you know what?
01:06 It's on the bucket list here and I
01:08 could see why as we get more fresh
01:10 powder out toward Deer Valley on Friday,
01:12 just like we're seeing in Aspen.
01:13 Beautiful Bluebird Day on Saturday.
01:14 It's going to be absolutely beautiful.
01:16 This is what we lovingly call some
01:18 white gold here for the mountains.
01:19 Now I will say OK Mo as we look a
01:21 little bit further to the east.
01:23 Not quite as nice.
01:24 You can see the difference here from
01:26 the Wasatch back out to the east.
01:27 The green and white mountains and even
01:29 the boundary mountains in need of some snow.
01:31 So for my folks out in the Rockies,
01:33 just enjoy the powder you've got because,
01:35 well,
01:35 we'll be wishing we had a little
01:36 bit more in the Northeast.
