Jeff Hagaman's Fatal Crash @ NOLA Motorsports Park 2018

A race called the "WannaGoFast New Orleans Half-Mile Shootout" was scheduled to be contested at the NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana, on Saturday 22 September 2018. The event was overshadowed by a fatal accident.
52-year-old Jeff Hagaman of Lenoir, North Carolina was driving his a highly-modified Nissan GT-R drag car, at speeds above 200 mi/h (322 km/h), as part of a single-vehicle run on the NOLA Motorsports Park 5,300-foot (1.615-kilometer) dragstrip, which was part of the racing meeting's program.
During his run, at 09h21 Jeff Hagaman lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Witnesses stated they saw the Nissan GT-R roll multiple times.
A well-known and experienced drag racer, Jeff Hagaman won a number of races in North Carolina, dating back to the late 1980s.
