Travel delays possible across many parts of the US this Saturday

From the Pacific Northwest to the Southeast and beyond, both rain and snowstorms could cause problems for your travel plans this weekend.

00:02 here in the southeast with heavy

00:04 rain from Atlanta to the Gulf Coast.

00:06 Also some snow and rain on the

00:08 Great Lakes and northern New

00:09 England and some moisture in the

00:11 northwest giving us some issues there

00:12 with the mountain snow in the passes.

00:14 It's already piling up out there folks.

00:16 So dangerous travel minor delays

00:18 in the morning in Chicago tomorrow

00:19 with some morning drizzle which

00:20 should improve by the afternoon.

00:22 New York City.

00:23 You could have some fog to start the day,

00:25 and we know how much of a pain that is

00:27 when you're at the airport and you have

00:29 to get out of the airport and you can't

00:32 get out of there so that could happen

00:34 for you early in in Chicago.

00:35 But the northwest is probably one

00:37 of the toughest places to travel,

00:39 especially driving through those

00:40 mountain passes,

00:40 but there'll be some rain into

00:42 Seattle and Portland as well.

00:43 Major delays in Boise with an inch

00:45 of snow into Saturday morning.

00:47 Possibly a little bit of freezing rain too,

00:49 so touch and go with the road conditions

00:51 there and also Salt Lake City expecting

00:53 one to three inches of snow into

00:55 Saturday morning there will be a

00:56 blanket of white on your roads to

00:58 wake up to tomorrow, so that's.

01:00 Always dangerous as we look at San

01:01 Francisco some rain in the morning.

01:03 Denver has some windy conditions which

01:05 could give us some delays at DIA.

01:07 Otherwise a light rain and snow mix in

01:09 Omaha could give us some slight problems

01:11 there for travelers across the Gulf Coast.

01:14 There will be rain heavy at times.

01:16 Dallas could see a shower as well

01:18 and anywhere from the Gulf of Mexico

01:20 all the way to the Southeast Coast.

01:22 We've got issues there folks and again,

01:24 Chicago.

01:25 You've got a little bit of drizzle in

01:27 the morning across the Northeast.

01:28 Not much going on unless you're

01:30 into northern New England.

01:32 Some light precipitation there on Saturday.
