Gusty storms to cause travel delays in the Northwest this weekend

If you have travel plans in the U.S. the weekend of Nov. 4-5, you shouldn't face weather-caused issues in most of the country, but it'll be a different story in the Pacific Northwest.

00:00 Here's your travel forecast for the lower 48 for Saturday.

00:03 If you're gonna hit the Pacific Northwest,

00:05 the airports are gonna have problems.

00:06 There will be wind and there will be rain,

00:08 especially early in the day.

00:10 Meantime, down here on the East Coast of Florida,

00:12 which Melissa just mentioned,

00:13 there's also gonna be wind and some showers.

00:15 There could be gusty winds at places like the Miami Airport,

00:18 could be some delays there.

00:19 But here's the story in the Northwest.

00:21 As we speak, there's a storm hitting

00:23 the Pacific Northwest Coast.

00:25 High wind warnings are in place

00:26 for much of the Oregon Coast.

00:27 We're gonna see gusty winds and heavy rain on Saturday,

00:31 especially early in the day,

00:32 as that storm system spreads eastward

00:34 through the day on Saturday.

00:36 Meantime, farther east across the plains

00:38 and the Great Lakes,

00:39 not a whole lot going on here on Saturday.

00:42 We're not expecting any travel delays,

00:43 including in Chicago.

00:45 Now, meantime, farther east here,

00:46 from Buffalo to Bangor down to Boston,

00:49 we are looking good.

00:50 We know we're past peak here for most of the leaf peeping,

00:53 but you know what?

00:54 Who cares?

00:55 It's gonna be a nice weekend.

00:56 We'll enjoy it.

00:57 Do something else other than look at leaves, right?

01:00 Okay, we've got New York City down to Philadelphia,

01:02 also looking good on Saturday.

01:04 Can't complain with those conditions.

01:06 Across the Southeast, there'll be some cold air

01:08 out there in the mornings, as Melissa also mentioned,

01:11 but that shouldn't impede your travel.

01:13 And we do have some gusty winds

01:14 on the East Coast of Florida for Saturday,

01:16 and then less so on Sunday.

01:18 Dallas-Fort Worth, looking good for traveling there as well.

01:23 Hey, this time of year, the early part of November,

01:25 unless you're getting a big snowstorm somewhere,

01:27 oftentimes you get weather like this,

01:29 kinda quiet across most of the lower 48.
