00:03 An opportunity for the Vikings against a three win Chicago team to really
00:07 solidify their place in the NFC wildcard hunt,
00:10 maybe even make some noise within the NFC North division.
00:14 Except it all comes to a crashing end last night.
00:18 Joshua Dobbs, four interceptions in a game against Chicago.
00:23 Justin Fields had back to back possessions in the fourth quarter,
00:26 where he fumbled the football away back to Minnesota.
00:30 And the Vikings still unable to take advantage with a victory.
00:33 Chicago goes into Minneapolis, wins outright 12 to 10,
00:37 DRS as a three point road underdog.
00:40 Cairo Santos, a field goal from 30 yards out with just 10 seconds remaining.
00:45 In regulation, that was the difference.
00:47 The Bears get their fourth victory of the year.
00:49 Three of them coming in a prime time game, two on Thursday night football.
00:53 Last night on a Monday night in Minneapolis, 12 to 10,
00:56 the final last night DRS between the Bears and the Vikings.
01:00 >> The Vikings aren't a very good football team, Ben, but let's start here.
01:03 Entering into the game last night, six and five,
01:05 firmly entrenching that playoff picture.
01:07 And then you start to say, okay, if things go their direction,
01:10 which means just play competent football,
01:12 where are they gonna wind up at the end of the season?
01:13 Probably in the playoffs.
01:14 You didn't have Justin Jefferson again last night, still no excuse, but
01:17 you knew he was coming back on the horizon.
01:19 Let's also remind ourselves, you say, Detroit's gonna easily run away with that
01:23 division.
01:23 Really, are they?
01:24 Because the Minnesota Vikings, let's just say,
01:26 picked up that victory last night.
01:28 They sit at seven and five.
01:29 Did you know they still have two games left against the Detroit Lions and
01:32 one against the Green Bay Packers?
01:34 Let's just say they play good football and sweep those games.
01:36 They're gonna get a home playoff game cuz they're gonna actually win the division.
01:39 Now that looks like that's gonna go up in smoke and
01:41 maybe we were riding this Joshua Dobbs bandwagon and say, there's a reason, Ben,
01:45 why he's on so many different football teams.
01:47 My goodness, you could trade a midweek and win football games for you.
01:50 But eventually, the cream rises to the top or the bottom falls out.
01:54 And that's what you got last night.
01:55 I mean, we're watching this football game and
01:57 I know I'm a little coming from an angry angle on Dobbs.
01:59 I just needed to get 200 yards and it would have been a profitable night.
02:02 He throws for 185.
02:03 But when you turn the football game on in the second quarter and
02:06 you say to yourself, well, what's Minnesota doing?
02:08 I've had three plays and no passing yards.
02:10 How do you expect to win any football game like that?
02:12 And by the way, if you were looking for a great start to the under,
02:15 how about an eight and a half minute drive that ends with a missed field goal?
02:18 And away you go off into your night.
02:20 We're lucky we even saw one touchdown last night.
02:22 But the missed opportunities for the Minnesota Vikings,
02:25 let's start late in this football game too, Ben.
02:28 You take a look at Justin Fields, who again, the Bears were losing,
02:31 trying to drive, strip, sack, fumble, basically on the,
02:34 let's just call it the 40 yard line.
02:35 Pick up five yards, kick a field goal, now the Bears gotta go down and
02:38 score a touchdown.
02:39 That's sort of punted, Ben, on that possession.
02:42 Ridiculous.
02:42 They were horrendous all the way through.
02:44 And I agree with their head coach saying at the end of the football game,
02:47 we have to reevaluate the quarterback position because that wasn't good enough.
02:50 Not good enough, that was horrendous.
