Celebrities have flocked to support Animals Asia's 'No Bear Left Behind' campaign

Some of the most famous celebrities in the world are coming together to put an end to bear bile farming in Vietnam, where bears, trapped in small cages, are subjected to a painful method of extracting bile use in traditional medicine.

Ricky Gervais, Judi Dench, Peter Egan and Lesley Nicol are just some of the famous faces sponsoring a bear and raising money to build a brand-new sanctuary to save the last 300 bears trapped on bile farms in Vietnam. They say ‘No Bear Will Be Left Behind’.

They are working with Animals Asia and the Vietnamese government to end bear bile farming in Vietnam – farm by farm, cage by cage - until there is no bear left behind. Right now, these bears are trapped in tiny cages, in some cases little bigger than they are, unable to turn around or stand on all fours. They exist in unimaginable pain through the bile extractions and most were poached from the wild as cubs, brutally torn from their mothers to spend their entire lives in inhumane conditions.
