Ross Draper took interim charge of manager less Elgin City for their 1-0 win over Forfar Athletic in League 2.

00:26 But it does show that side to us that the boys have got that we can dig in, we can fight and scrap.

00:36 Yeah, I didn't realise because the results have actually been that spread out

00:39 because of postponements and cup games and things like that.

00:44 So when you look at it, yeah, I think we've beaten them four, are we?

00:48 Six, I think it is at home in all competitions, including cup games.

00:52 OK, so yeah, we know it's a tough place for people to come.

00:58 We go down there, we did the opposite run every other week.

01:03 So we need to start turning it into a tough place for the teams to come.

01:08 And coming to Elgin on a Tuesday night isn't easy.

01:11 So we need to make sure that it's tough for teams coming up here.

01:14 And we spoke about scoring the first goals being quite important for us.

01:19 It gives ourselves that foot in the game and gives us a little bit of confidence and

01:25 So yeah, a lot of positives to take from tonight in terms of work rate and

01:30 what comes with that.

01:31 Listen, I spoke to the club last week when Barry stepped back and

01:37 I'm not going to not do it.

01:38 So it's fine.

01:41 I found it tough again tonight because of communication with the bench and

01:46 making changes, especially when we're backs against the wall.

01:48 That's the reason I stepped back in the first place because it's too hard to do

01:53 both jobs and I want to continue to play.

01:55 So it shows tonight how hard it can be to

02:01 kind of communicate with the bench and make the right decisions.

02:05 We changed at halftime and then we changed back after five or ten minutes because it

02:08 didn't work.

02:08 So it's one of the problems that I'm watching it whilst I'm playing as well.

02:16 I don't plan on hopefully keeping it for that long, but

02:19 the boys get a break now for 10 or 11 days.

02:22 They'll get a bit of time off.

02:23 We'll come back in on Tuesday because we've had two tough games in four days.

02:31 we'll see what the future holds in terms of new appointments.

02:44 So we've kept things very similar in terms of the last two or three weeks.

02:47 Same warm up, same style, same pick the same team for three weeks.

03:13 It's an old cliche, but it is because the manager comes in,

03:17 you don't know how he's going to play.

03:18 You don't know what style he's going to play.

03:20 You don't know what he wants from every single player.

03:23 So it's important that we go, like I said, boys will get a bit of time off.

03:31 maybe by then we'll have a couple of days building up to the Clyde game.

03:35 And because it's tonight was big result for the club, but

03:39 when we go Clyde and East Fife, so next two games.

03:41 So it's big for the club in terms of teams in and around us.

03:45 And it could be an interesting couple of weeks.
