Co-founder of GM's Self-Driving Unit Resigns Amid Safety Review
  • 5 months ago
Dan Kan, a co-founder and senior executive of GM's self-driving unit Cruise, has resigned from the company. Kan's resignation comes just one day after Cruise CEO Kyle Vogt resigned from the company. Cruise is currently undergoing a safety review of its US testing fleet after one of its autonomous vehicles was involved in a crash that injured a pedestrian in San Francisco in October. The crash led to Cruise pausing its testing. In his resignation message, Kan thanked Cruise employees and said he knows the company will achieve serving 10,000 rides per week again soon.
