00:00 Let's go back to our interview with LTFRB Chairman Chofi Loguadiz III. Chairman good morning.
00:06 Ivan, good morning to you and to all of our viewers.
00:15 Morning rush hour. This is the first time that the road is closed. How is your monitoring? Are there a lot of commuters who are having a hard time riding?
00:29 I am monitoring the road since 4 in the morning.
00:34 The only area that we are seeing a little problem is Novaliches, Pasig and part of Commonwealth.
00:42 The rest of the areas, the traffic is normal.
00:46 And there are a lot of vehicles for the public.
00:55 We are not seeing a shortage of jeeps and in the areas where there is a problem, we have rescue buses waiting.
01:05 So we are not seeing a problem on the first day of our so called "Tigil Pasada".
01:13 So for now, we are not feeling the impact. You said there is no disruption in our public transport. Is that so?
01:24 I give you the assurance that as of this time, we are talking about it. I don't feel any disruption.
01:32 The areas that might have a disruption, we have dispatched rescue buses.
01:40 While this "Tigil Pasada" is happening, are there any efforts to avoid the "Succeeding Days" of this "Tigil Pasada" because this is scheduled for 3 days.
01:59 Yes, Ivan. As of last night, we talked to the President of Pistons, Kamodi. We have scheduled to talk later in the afternoon.
02:10 One of our talks is the possible suspension of the "Tigil Pasada" this afternoon.
02:18 And then in the "Succeeding Days", there will be no "Tigil Pasada".
02:26 Okay. Wait. Is that final? Will they stop the "Tigil Pasada" today or is it subject to certain conditions?
02:33 This is for 3 days. They are asking for certain conditions.
02:41 And this is possible, we will talk about it later in the afternoon, maybe in the ongoing monument.
02:49 They want to know where it will go. And on that site, we will decide what position we can give to the Pistons.
03:02 Okay. There are some demands from the Pistons. I will just mention a few. They want their own ownership of the vehicle and the franchise.
03:10 But they want to be part of a cooperative. Is that possible?
03:18 As of now, it is under the law that 15 operators will be part of a cooperative.
03:27 But we are just studying if it is possible to lower it initially. If you apply, maybe even half of it first.
03:36 And then the other half will probably be within 6 months to 12 months.
03:43 The December 31 deadline, is that negotiable? Is it possible to extend it?
03:48 The deadline is non-negotiable. But the compliance with the requirements to form a cooperative is negotiable.
04:04 What I mean to say is, the mere filing of the petition for consolidation as a cooperative would suffice for now.
04:15 And based on that, you are now considered as consolidated.
04:19 Unlike before, where you have to finish all the papers before you are considered consolidated.
04:27 Now, you just have to file it. You are now complied substantially.
04:33 Chairman, I hope you will have a long-term partnership so that these blockades will not happen again,
04:43 which ultimately will be affected by the riding public.
04:46 Thank you very much for the time you gave in the first news.
04:49 Thank you very much and good morning.

04:56 (In Tagalog)
