00:06 Especially here, where we are, in the old part of the zoo, there are many species that are easier to see in winter and autumn than in summer.

00:14 Because they have very low temperatures, and they are also more active when there are fewer tourists, when it is calmer.

00:20 These are, for example, the reindeers behind our backs, these are yellow-throated mules that live in the neighborhood,

00:26 as well as white-tailed hares, which are also here, right next to the manula,

00:31 which are cats that wear a lot of winter fur and look twice as big as those that can be seen in the summer,

00:40 but we ensure that they are still the same individuals.

00:43 We also have hoofed animals here, including Sikidibowski and Chinese mules,

00:49 which in nature have the status of being extinct, so we only have them in zoos around the world.

00:56 This year we also met two young of this species, so you can also see them.

01:00 You can also see owls in the oldest building of the zoo in the so-called Bear Forest,

01:05 which is today a zoo where several species of owls live.

01:08 And this part, the old part of the zoo, is the most beautiful in autumn, in my humble opinion,

01:16 Additionally, a species that is very active in winter and autumn are snow panthers.

01:21 We have two young, we have two females, so we can say two young snow panthers from this year.

01:28 They are a few months old and are more and more willing to go out on their own,

01:31 adapted to the conditions they have in nature, i.e. very rocky,

01:35 reflecting the natural environment of the high peaks of Central Asia.

01:39 They are becoming more and more active, they jump from these canoes and from our rocks,

01:50 sometimes they chase them, they are very active, you can watch them play,

01:54 just like our domestic cats, you can stand there and watch them for a long time

01:58 and also observe the behavior that we have in our domestic cats.

02:02 We recently announced their names, they are Asha and Kara from Gashelbrum and Karakorum,

02:08 so autumn is a perfect opportunity to watch snow panthers in our zoo.

02:13 It will definitely be easier in such weather, they can't stand the heat and hide on their back,

02:19 so in the summer it is much harder.

02:22 As we observe on the outcrop of the reindeers, both females and males of this species have porosia.

02:27 At the moment, two females have partial porosia, they have lost some,

02:33 but the image we see of Christmas, i.e. the Christmas wreath of Santa Claus,

02:38 wreathed in reindeer, which have porosia, is not entirely correct and true,

02:44 because they will lose this porosia before Christmas and usually they don't have it for Christmas.

02:50 However, before that, they also get rid of the chaff, rubbing themselves with porosia on trees,

02:55 on canoes, on various obstacles, and as a result, they finally lose this porosia.

03:00 Now we can still observe it, at least in some of our males and females,
