John Askey reacts to Hartlepool United's 3-1 win over York City in the National League at the LNER Community Stadium with goals from Jake Hastie, Tom Crawford and Nicky Featherstone.

00:00 I'm really, obviously really pleased with how we played, as well as we've played all season.

00:05 It's been a while since we've played like that.

00:07 We could have come in at half-time and said the only thing wrong with half-time is that we haven't scored more goals.

00:15 I thought we saw the game out quite well as well, we were solid.

00:21 Obviously, it was pleasing to get one or two players back in today.

00:25 You could see over the last 20 minutes that one or two were fading because they haven't played much football.

00:33 It was a really good performance and we've got to take confidence from it and hopefully take that into the kit of minutes to gain that.

00:43 Of course, that's the main difference, we get one or two back, available to the right positions.

00:50 Having said that, we still had two such as Ainsley not playing in the natural positions, but they all did well.

00:57 I think the pitch suited us as well.

01:03 The pitch is lovely and enabled us to get on the ball, such as Fez and Kieran, and it's all.

01:11 We looked good today and we've got a lot of hard work ahead of us.

01:22 Hopefully, we can keep everybody fit and we can start to get one or two decent results.
