00:02 Georgia already locked into the SEC Championship game December 2nd against
00:06 the Alabama Crimson Tide. A layup next week against Georgia Tech, but they're
00:10 gonna take on Tennessee this week in Rocky Top, only their third true road
00:14 game of the season for Georgia, favored by double digits. Do they walk over the
00:17 Vols, or the Vols show up in this one to play? Shocker spoiler.
00:21 Donnie, a lot of times when we start a breakdown with the Georgia Bulldogs, the
00:25 two time defending champions, we look at Georgia's defense that has been so elite
00:29 against whatever the opposition is going to throw out there offensively. This
00:33 Tennessee team very different than last year's Tennessee team under Josh Heupel.
00:37 Aaron Outwood, the best of them, Hendon Hooker, finding the likes of Jalen Hyatt
00:42 streaking downfield. This year's Tennessee team much more predicated on
00:46 the ground. The Vols did not have a lot of success last week on the ground
00:51 against Missouri. Georgia's defense not nearly as good against the run this year
00:56 as they have been in the previous two, when they were a top three rushing
01:00 defense, allowing less than 85 yards per game. This year, more than 100 on the
01:05 ground. Still really good though, defensively. But Donnie, what I think we
01:08 fail to do with Georgia is look at their offense that is burgeoning on elite.
01:13 Carson Beck is yossing the ball all around the yard, 300 plus passing yards
01:18 in four of the last five for the Bulldogs. Ladd McConkie coming up real
01:23 big for this Georgia side the last few weeks in the absence of Brock Bowers.
01:28 But somehow, someway, Donnie, Brock Bowers was back on Saturday, rather
01:32 surprisingly, against the running rebs and they put up 52 points and they won
01:36 52 to 17, as I assume they would, Donnie, because Ole Miss's defense is not very
01:41 good. Tennessee's better than Ole Miss, but they give up more than 230 yards
01:46 through the air. So I expect a big game from Carson Beck and Ladd McConkie's
01:52 prop of 65 and a half, slightly discounted, Donnie, because of the return
01:56 of Brock Bowers. I still think you could take the over for McConkie, 65 and a hook
02:01 against Tennessee tomorrow. I'm not so sure Georgia covers as a double-digit
02:05 favorite on the road in Rocky Top, but if they do, it's not Georgia's defense,
02:10 Donnie, it's that dog's offense getting the job done.
