00:02 Hi, I'm Eve and I'm 27. I live with my dad's. I don't own a house. I don't have a boyfriend. I can't drive.

00:07 I have no investments and I'm not on any career ladder and I have no interest in climbing it.

00:11 I'm pretty unsure about what I want to do for the rest of my life

00:14 but what I will say is I actually enjoy my life day to day because I find small glimpses of joy all the time and

00:20 I genuinely like myself.

00:21 I'm sharing this because I know it's so easy to get lost in the world of social media where everyone looks like they have

00:26 a life together and have it all figured out. Everyone's on a completely different journey, timelines.

00:30 Also, please stop for a second and consider you may be comparing yourself to somebody who has had more privilege in life

00:36 and this isn't to hate on people who have had privilege in their life.

00:39 It's just to give you a perspective when you're comparing yourself to someone who has started life a few steps ahead of you.

00:43 One last thing I want to say is that happiness is not when you acquire all of these things.

00:48 It's being able to find small joy in your day to day existence.

00:51 If you're always looking to the future of happiness,

00:53 you'll never find it because the future doesn't exist and we only have this moment now.
