00:00 "Any Dunkaroos you see are literally from the 90s."
00:03 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the food items from the
00:08 90s that make our inner child bounce off the walls.
00:11 "Whoa!
00:12 What a melon!"
00:14 Number 10.
00:15 Smucker's Uncrustables
00:17 There are a few recognizable landmarks in a person's voyage from kid to grown-up.
00:22 "You'll see tax exemption!"
00:24 "Tax exemption!"
00:25 Things like getting a driver's license, opening a bank account in your own name, and maybe
00:30 the biggest one, eating crust.
00:32 Whether that be from a pizza or a sandwich, you'll find that most kids leave it out of
00:37 their diet.
00:38 For us 90s kids, this means we remember Uncrustables fondly.
00:42 "Just take it from the freezer and put it in a lunchbox."
00:45 Developed in 1995 and purchased by Smucker's in 1999, the calzone-like sandwich with the
00:52 crimped edges was a PB&J straight out of our childlike fantasy.
00:57 No crusts.
00:58 "With a name like Smucker's, it has to be good."
01:02 Number 9.
01:03 Doritos 3D
01:05 Remember in the 2000s when 3D movies were a big thing?
01:08 Well, in the 90s, 3D was also popular, but rather than at your local Cineplex, this 3D
01:13 experience could be found in the chip aisle at your local grocery store.
01:20 Doritos 3D were basically puffed-up three-dimensional hollow triangles, like Bugles, without the
01:26 opening at the wide end.
01:28 "Introducing Doritos 3Ds.
01:30 A whole new shape that begs to be eaten."
01:36 They came in a few different flavors, including jalapeno cheddar, nacho cheese, and zesty
01:41 ranch.
01:42 For about 15 years since the product was discontinued in the mid-aughts, all we could do was reminisce.
01:47 However, as of the end of 2020, to quote the little blonde girl from Poltergeist 2,
01:52 "You're back!"
01:54 Number 8.
01:55 String Cheese
01:56 As adults, many of us, assuming we're tolerant of lactose, love cheese.
02:00 "I could just fancy some cheese, gromit.
02:03 What do you say?"
02:04 A nice aged cheddar, a creamy camembert, or a white stilton will almost always hit the
02:10 spot.
02:11 Unless, of course, that spot is wanting to feel like a kid again.
02:14 If we need to embrace a sense of childlike innocence, well, there's really only one choice
02:18 when it comes to cheese, and that's string cheese.
02:21 "Is this what you want?"
02:23 "Delissimo!"
02:24 It's fun to eat.
02:26 It's a snack that's easy to consume on the go.
02:29 And it's pretty tasty, too, all things considered.
02:31 Oh, and for those of you who bite into it instead of pulling it off in strings, you
02:36 can go ahead and click off the video now.
02:38 "Wow, you just dive right in."
02:40 "You know, around age 12 I just started going for it."
02:44 Number 7.
02:45 Burger King Fries
02:46 As we all know, trying to find consensus online is a fool's errand.
02:50 That being said, it's pretty well agreed upon that these days McDonald's serves one
02:54 of, if not the best, fast food French fries.
02:57 "Has your mother ever made anything as good as a McDonald's fry?"
03:01 "Not even close."
03:04 As for Burger King, where they land on the list varies, but it's most definitely lower
03:09 than the Golden Arches.
03:11 However, back in the 90s, that wasn't such a universal truth.
03:14 "The crispy new Burger King fries beat McDonald's fries in a nationwide taste test."
03:18 In fact, there are Reddit threads dedicated to the memory of BK Fries from the late 90s
03:24 and early 2000s.
03:26 Whether it's childhood food goggles or not, those old Burger King French fries are crispy
03:30 nostalgia for many.
03:32 "Wow!"
03:33 Number 6.
03:34 Jell-O Pudding Pops
03:35 Their association with Bill Cosby does put a bit of a damper on things.
03:39 "Had a hindsight."
03:40 "Should have had hindsight."
03:41 But for any kid of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, there's no forgetting how yummy Jell-O Pudding
03:47 Pops were.
03:48 It's frozen Jell-O pudding on a stick.
03:51 If you've never tried it, then maybe you don't understand.
03:54 But trust us when we tell you it was awesome.
03:57 "All the goodness of real Jell-O pudding."
03:59 And yes, we know that the Popsicle brand brought back Pudding Pops in 2004, but they just weren't
04:04 the same.
04:05 Which is probably why they were eventually discontinued in 2011.
04:09 Bringing back the OG Jell-O.
04:11 "Jell-O brand Pudding Pops, made with the goodness of real Jell-O pudding."
04:14 Number 5.
04:15 Trix Yogurt
04:16 When in doubt, childhood food nostalgia can usually be found with bright colors and sugar.
04:21 And one classic 90s snack that brought those two together in delicious harmony was Trix
04:26 Yogurt by YoPlay.
04:28 "All those fun colors, as you can see."
04:30 "Make Trix Yogurt perfect for me!"
04:33 Bringing the sweet and colorful cereal to yogurt containers meant a duo-colored fruit-flavored
04:37 snack that kids loved.
04:39 YoPlay has recently brought them back to store shelves after a five-year hiatus.
04:44 So if you were missing Strawberry Banana Bash, Raspberry Rainbow, or Watermelon Burst, you
04:49 might just be in luck.
04:50 "The fruit is flavorful, like pure lemon!"
04:52 While we're encouraging a tasty trip down memory lane, we'll take the opportunity to
04:57 remind you that…
04:58 "Trix Yogurt is just for kids!"
05:00 "And fingers!"
05:01 Number 4.
05:02 SpaghettiOs
05:03 Penne Fettuccine, Ravioli, Linguine.
05:06 Depending on your family, any one of those pasta types and shapes might bring back childhood
05:11 memories.
05:12 "Are you hungry?"
05:13 "For SpaghettiOs!"
05:14 "Yeah!"
05:15 But there's one shape that, for some of us, is the most reminiscent of our childhood meals.
05:20 And that would be the humble circle.
05:22 Or more specifically, the O. The SpaghettiO.
05:25 "Can you taste it?"
05:27 "Yeah!"
05:28 Pasta circles in a can of tomato sauce might not sound like anything special, but to kids
05:32 who had trouble twirling their spaghetti, it sure was.
05:35 It was, as the initial tagline told us, the neat round spaghetti you can eat with a spoon.
05:40 And to this day, what 90s kid doesn't throw out an "Uh-oh, SpaghettiOs" every now and
05:45 then?
05:46 "Uh-oh, SpaghettiOs!"
05:48 Number 3.
05:49 Minute Maid Juice Bars
05:51 This one will awaken your inner child, even before you even get to consume it.
05:56 "And then we ask them to describe it without using their hands.
05:58 Could they do it?"
06:00 The second that three-dimensional triangle is in your hands, you'll start flashing back
06:05 to those good old days.
06:07 These frozen juice bars stood out from the crowd because of their unconventional shape.
06:11 And they stand out in our minds for that.
06:14 And for how delicious they are, obviously.
06:16 "It's delicious and you gotta squeeze!"
06:19 Also yes, they're still making them today.
06:21 So if you remember just how to squeeze them, you too can have a yummy frozen snack, no
06:26 matter your age.
06:27 "The frozen juice treat, you gotta squeeze to eat!"
06:31 Number 2.
06:32 Dunkaroos
06:33 2020 was definitely a very tough year for all of us.
06:36 However, there was a bright spot in the year of the pandemic, and it came in May.
06:40 This was the time Dunkaroos came back into our lives.
06:43 "You can dunk a Dunkaroo with as much chocolate or vanilla frosting as you want!"
06:47 Introduced in 1990, Dunkaroos were a staple of many children's lunch boxes.
06:52 Those cookies and icing were the undisputed highlight of our lunches.
06:56 "Now, how do you do your Dunkaroos?"
06:58 Sadly, by the time we were teens and young adults, Dunkaroos had gone away.
07:03 The collective sobs from our child selves must have been heard far and wide, because
07:07 Dunkaroos seem here to stay this time around.
07:10 "I don't know, people who experienced the original Dunkaroos, can you remember, do you
07:14 think the originals were thicker than this?"

07:33 Number 1.
07:34 Fruit Gushers
07:35 Is there anything that can make you feel more like a kid than biting down on a gummy candy
07:40 and feeling the sweet, sugary syrup ooze out?
07:43 "It's berry, berry different.
07:46 And totally appealing."
07:48 When it comes to 90s candy, we certainly don't think so.
07:52 Fruit gushers were brought into the world in 1991, and they're still around today.
07:56 "So fruity, they'll really turn your head."
07:59 "Whoa, I'll say."
08:01 But when was the last time you had one?
08:03 As adults, many of us have to put a stop to our childhood candy habits.
08:07 However, one bite of a fruit gusher, and the only thing rushing into you faster than the
08:11 juice inside the candy, will be happy childhood memories.
08:15 "The blast of fruit punch is gonna drive you totally fruity."
08:18 "Man, I gotta split."
08:20 Which 90s snack always takes you back to your younger days?
08:23 Let us know in the comments.
08:25 "Green pop, it's a lollipop, without a stick."
08:29 Do you agree with our picks?
