Angus Olsen has been nominated in the Australian of the Year Awards as a Local Hero. His nomination is for his work drawing about childhood cancer which he has distributed around the world for free to help families going through cancer treatment

00:15 Currently there's a little over 100,000 on our bone marrow registry and I think we can

00:21 And I know we can because Aussies are generous people.

00:24 Of the 5 million that are eligible to be on that register.

00:28 I mean you might never be called up to save a life like that but if you are, wow, what

00:35 an opportunity.

00:42 I think the big thing is that it was childhood cancer parents that led the nomination efforts.

01:03 It's special that Jason Satoris of Super T, we were both in Westmead together when our

01:12 And so it's like two fathers have come out and worked together to advance the cause.
