00:00 Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan, will you guys please come out and join us?
00:05 Howdy, howdy. With us, we're just comfortable now. Like I know how he rolls.
00:11 He kind of, I guess our timing, we know a little bit better about our comedic timing and how that's going to roll.
00:18 Yeah, obviously I'm honored to be back. It was a lot of fun for me last year.
00:22 You know, I'm kind of the outsider here and probably wasn't necessarily a huge country fan growing up in New Orleans
00:29 because I just wasn't exposed to it as much. But when you spend four years in college in Knoxville,
00:35 country music is right in front of you. And I just jumped right in and embraced it.
00:41 I love it. I love the stories. I love to hear where the artists have come from.
00:47 And I love to kind of know the hard work that these artists have put in to reach their dreams.
00:52 This is a life changing moment for so many of these artists. And so I can appreciate that.
00:57 And I'm looking forward to seeing some of those other life changing moments tomorrow night.
01:01 But last year, I was certainly nervous because, like I said, I was new and just kind of wanted to do my part
01:07 and also kind of stay out of the way and give these artists, you know, their platform.
01:11 So certainly feel more comfortable this year. Like Luke said, I think we kind of have the routine.
01:16 I probably get a little more nervous about performing still. Now I got this guy to kind of bail me out.
01:22 But you're always really want to do a great performance. That's always very, very important to to put your best foot out there
01:30 and sing really well. If you go out there and sing bad, you know, it's it kind of it's kind of like a four interception day.
01:37 You know, those aren't fun. All I ever wanted was to know that I could do this for the rest of my life.
01:44 You never know that until you really feel that. But when I had that moment happen, I was like,
01:50 I think I'm going to do this the rest of my life. There's I don't have to move back to Georgia and work at my dad's peanut mill.
01:57 But these artists work hard. They get fired up when they get the nominations.
02:03 And what's cool is their teams do, too. I mean, I remember my bus drivers and my truck drivers just, you know,
02:10 they're they're out somewhere in Mount Juliet, you know, flipping burgers and cooking steaks, watching their boss win.
02:18 And it's all about them, too. So that that's something that's fun to trickles to everybody.
02:23 It really is just a really cool evening. My family's coming back.
02:28 I have friends coming back and I'm really pumped to be back. I think the Jimmy Buffett tribute tomorrow will be special.
02:36 I'm always excited about the surprise moments, the surprise performances for years.
02:42 I think maybe country music was kind of it's a little satellite island out there.
02:47 So when you have artists from all genres want to come in and be a part and do collabs, I mean,
02:53 I think it validates country's spot in all music.
02:57 music.
02:57 (upbeat music)
