00:00 The Commission on Elections cancels the December 9 special election in Negros Oriental's 3rd

00:07 This decision comes a day after the House of Representatives adopted a resolution asking
00:11 the poll body to reconsider the special election, given, quote, "all the existing circumstances
00:16 and present predicament affecting the province."
00:19 Commilic Chairman George Garcia says the reasons for the cancellation include a petition for
00:24 Sir Chirari, filed by Arnie Tevez Jr. before the Supreme Court, challenging his removal
00:28 as a member of the House of Representatives.
00:31 Meantime, Garcia condemns the killing of two newly elected barangay councilors in Pasay
00:35 City and Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
00:38 Police are still on the lookout for the gunman.
