Susan Stephen: Married Life - Pathe News (1953)

A lovely clip from Pathe News documenting Susan Stephen's early married life to actor Lawrence Ward in Buckinghamshire, and with sound too! It's a nice revealing clip of domestic life of the couple, and includes Lawrence bringing up a cup of tea to Susan in bed, who clearly does not believe in pyjamas, judging by this clip! They met when working on Fanciulle di lusso (aka Finishing School) in 1952, but sadly the marriage would only last 3 years, and Susan's own career was never really the same after the divorce in 1956 and her 2nd marriage to director Nicolas Roeg the following year.
A Pathe News finds, which I came across on Youtube.
