Jock Goodyer speaks after winning round two of the SRA sprintcar series at Premier Speedway.

00:00 So Jock, well done tonight, made a nice win, how are you feeling?

00:03 Oh yeah, it's definitely cool to get that one done.

00:05 It's quite a demanding, treacherous track out there so,

00:08 it's just cool to bring the car home in one piece as well.

00:12 That's its first start, that car after being built brand new,

00:17 so it's obviously cool to have the car speed and the car straight away.

00:19 And you had a good battle with Jamie Veal there,

00:22 did you have faith the whole way that you could get him in the end?

00:25 Oh yeah, I've been saying it's always sometimes better to be sitting second

00:29 so you can sort of pick where you can go, to just show your nose and that.

00:33 So yeah, I knew it was going to get dicey,

00:36 I knew obviously whoever's in front, clean air,

00:38 but once we got to traffic I knew it was going to get quite dicey,

00:41 so I was just waiting for that opportunity and yeah,

00:43 I was able to capitalise on it and then get the clean run home,

00:46 so yeah, happy with that.

00:47 And a good way to start, yeah, you're seizing it from your speedway.

00:51 Yeah.

00:51 Must be hard, do you like racing here?

00:52 Yeah, no, it's definitely, it can be good and it can be bad,

00:56 it's just, you know, it's like any track in the world really,

00:58 it all has its nights at the end of the day,

01:00 yeah, it's obviously one of the most pinnacle tracks in Australia,

01:04 it's obviously got the name for it all,

01:05 so obviously they tried a little bit with the track service tonight,

01:08 so you can't really judge much off it tonight,

01:10 so it's a bit of research and development for the track and everything,

01:13 so we'll just hope the next time we can get in a little bit more race here.

01:15 And it's only early in the year, do you have any big goals for this year yourself?

01:20 Oh yeah, obviously the goal is just to win every time that we hit the track,

01:23 but you know, it's not always possible,

01:25 so we just sort of race to have fun

01:27 and you know, I just love racing and having fun,

01:30 so man, that's just the goal is to, you know, enjoy myself while I do it,

01:34 and yeah, obviously just try to win every night.
