00:00 Today is the 13th festival of Legnica non-governmental organizations.

00:07 It is a day when all organizations, associations and foundations

00:13 that work in Legnica and for the citizens and the city are celebrated.

00:17 How many of these organizations will be present at the festival?

00:20 There are about 30 organizations invited to the festival.

00:24 I think that about 20 will participate in the parade.

00:29 There are over 150 organizations in Legnica,

00:32 but I think that the active ones can be focused on these 20-30 organizations.

00:40 What will be happening?

00:42 There will be demonstrations,

00:45 there will be a party organized in the Piast Gallery,

00:55 there will be a parade and there will be a presentation of all the organizations.

01:02 We can say that it is a civic activity.

01:06 On the city map, in the city of 100,000, we have about 150-160 organizations.

01:12 But the active ones are about 60-70.

01:16 I am talking about all the foundations, NGOs and the third sector.

01:20 We are very happy that we can meet here today and make sense of it.

01:25 Not only of the citizens of Legnica, but also of the guests who come to Legnica.

01:29 They are active, they help on various levels.

01:33 I could mention many aspects of help.

01:37 These organizations were very involved in the COVID-19 issue.

01:42 Later, they helped Ukrainians.

01:44 I could multiply these areas.

01:47 They are promoting physical culture, sports.

01:51 I could mention many things, but the point is to emphasize that they are very active.

01:58 Today, in this flop show, in this demonstration,

02:02 we will show and shout that it is worth doing good

02:07 and to act for the local community, pro publico bono.

02:11 We will live to see a time when we can say that there are enough organizations.

02:17 Or will we always have a shortage?

02:21 If someone wants to do something, there is always a place for him.

02:25 I am personally for a more Dutch scheme,

02:30 where every member of society, every resident of a given city

02:35 is honored to be in at least one such organization

02:41 and share this good with the community.
