00:00 Organs are one of the instruments in this basilica.

00:05 The most magnificent ones were built in 1750-1731 by Michał Engler Młodszew.

00:13 Actually, they were not even completed by him, because he died a year before the construction,

00:18 and his son and son-in-law completed the construction of these organs.

00:22 It was an instrument that was considered one of the best in Wrocław, if not the best.

00:27 It was richly decorated, then it was modernized in the spirit of the times it was in,

00:35 and survived the war.

00:38 Unfortunately, it did not survive the fire that broke out in 1976.

00:43 For 40 years there was no instrument.

00:47 However, thanks to Mr. Włodzimierz Patalas,

00:54 who initiated the reconstruction of these organs for the Church,

00:59 in 2018 the Czech Arts Fair was held, which was won by the Czech Film Consortium.

01:05 Today we can enjoy these organs,

01:09 reconstructed according to all the original works from 1761,

01:16 that is, according to all the preserved sources, which are the remains of the instrument of Michał Engler.
