Storm Ciarán lashes swathes of UK overnight

Storm Ciarán is battering parts of the UK with strong winds and heavy rain. Some of the worst conditions have been seen in the Channel Islands overnight, while Jersey was issued with a red wind warning. The storm has already caused major travel disruption in the south of England and hundreds of schools across the south have also closed because of the risk to pupils. Report by Brooksl.
