00:08 Three persons deprived of liberty won the elections after the barangay and youth elections.

00:24 But the three PDLs won the barangay elections in Tanay, Rizal, Dasmarinas, Cavite and Cagayan de Oro City.

00:33 But of course, they can only do limited things because they will not be released from prison.

00:39 Why were they allowed to run in the first place?

00:42 The Supreme Court has a decision on that.

00:45 In March 2022, PDLs were allowed to vote.

00:51 There is no penalty if they cannot do their duties.

00:56 The Comelec said that the Department of Interior and local government can be the caretakers.
