Patients in Canberra's secure mental-health units are absconding and returning intoxicated, staff warn

Staff at Canberra’s secure mental health unit have raised concerns about patients returning to the facility under the influence of drugs or alcohol and sharing contraband with others on their wards. ACT health authorities have confirmed more than 30 patients have absconded from mental health facilities in the past 12-months.
