General Motors' Q3 Earnings Soars, But Is It Enough to Survive the UAW Strike?
General Motors reported third quarter earnings that beat analyst expectations, with adjusted earnings per share of $2.28 versus an estimated $1.88 and revenue of $44.13 billion versus an estimated $43.68 billion. Ongoing strikes by the United Auto Workers Union, which have cost GM roughly $800 million in pre-tax earnings so far, caused GM to withdraw its full-year earnings guidance for 2023. Over 40,000 UAW members at the automakers remain on strike as contract negotiations continue.
