Iranian officials warned of possible “preemptive action” against Israel by the “resistance front” in the coming hours ahead of an anticipated Israeli ground invasion of Gaza. According to Iran's foreign minister, the "resistance front is capable of waging a long-term war with Israel," and "in the coming hours, we can expect a preemptive action by the resistance front." The foreign minister referenced meeting with Hezbollah leaders and said "all options are open" in response to "the war crimes committed against the people of Gaza." Since Hamas' attack on Israel that killed over 1,400 people, Israel has launched airstrikes on Gaza killing over 2,800 Palestinians so far according to Gaza health officials. Iran's supreme leader praised Hamas' attack as an "irreparable" defeat for Israel's military and intelligence capabilities.
