These are the adverts that were shown during the Channel 4 broadcast of Blithe Spirit in Xmas 1990. There are a couple of famous faces, such as Josie Lawrence and Nanette Newman, while the girl in red in the Lenor Softener advert reminds me of the girl who used to be in a series of ads for Electricity or British Gas from around 1989-90, but I have no idea if it is as it was so long ago when I saw those ads. There are 3 ad breaks in total, and the commercials that appeared are as follows:
1st break: Beecham's Resolve (Hangover chap in bed); Ferrero's Raffaello chocolates; Insignia shampoo (Phew office man); Mateus wine (Josie Lawrence - Here's one I made earlier); Winalot Prime dogfood; Accurist watches; General Accident Direct car insurance; Fairy Liquid (Nanette Newman - Cuts grease by the squeak), and Fresh Diary Cream (Oi! Scream for Cream).
2nd break: Scotch video tapes (Boneman watching moon landing); Milk Tray (Delivery on Airplane); Rapport Aftershave (Distant Lovers send letters); Philips Philishave electric razor; Rumbelows Sale (Excitable chap); Fizz-Wizz Fizzy Drinks Maker; Lenor softener (Rival girls compete with towels); and Coco Chanel perfume (Woman keeps being held up when in a hurry).
3rd break: Marmite; Stone's Green Ginger Wine; Head & Shoulders shampoo 2 in 1 (Pool girls); Fairy Liquid (Nanette Newman - School kids wash up in school); Dairy Box chocolates; Young's Prawns; Fresh Dairy Cream; Vortex bleach (Kid uses toilet); Sprite drink (Toboggoning couple); Ariel Liquid (recommended by Zanussi washing machine), and Accurist watches.
