00:00 Is the President okay with having a lawmaker who's accused of conspiring to act as an agent
00:07 of a foreign government remain as a member of Congress?
00:10 The Admiral was just asked this question.
00:11 I just don't have anything to say beyond what he shared.
00:13 This is referring to Bob Benet, the Super Seating Attorney.
00:15 No, I know.
00:16 And he was literally just asked this question.
00:18 I'm just not going to say any more to what he just added.
00:20 Yeah.
00:21 Karine, does the President feel supported by the Democratic Party writ large, by lawmakers,
00:27 by his party for his actions now with regard to Israel?
00:31 The President is, I mean, very much to what the Admiral just said about the moment that
00:36 we're in, about what we're seeing, this terrible event that happened this past weekend within
00:44 Israel is that, who is an ally, who is a friend, is what we saw this terrorist organization
00:51 do, Hamas, which is kill hundreds of lives, take hundreds of lives, murder people.
00:57 And we believe, this President believe, it is the right thing to do to continue to assist
01:03 the people of Israel as they're dealing with this devastating, horrific time.
01:08 And so the President, as President, as Commander-in-Chief, has difficult decisions to make, right, difficult
01:14 decisions to make on behalf of the American people, right?
01:17 The Admiral talked about how there's a national security piece of this as well.
01:21 We have, as we all know, Americans, 27 Americans who have sadly perished, and many are still
01:28 missing, 17 or so are missing.
01:31 And so it is the President's duty as Commander-in-Chief to do everything that he can to protect us
01:37 and to also assist in this horrific, horrific events that we saw this weekend.
