00:00 I love the suit.
00:01 Oh, thank you.
00:02 It's fantastic.
00:03 I guess I'm underdressed.
00:04 Welcome to London.
00:05 Talking about film, it's like a miracle, isn't it, that we're allowed to talk about these
00:09 things.
00:10 In what way?
00:11 We've missed it.
00:12 Oh, I see.
00:13 Yes.
00:14 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:15 It's fantastic.
00:16 How did you get Michael Fassbender away from his Formula One car and into film again?
00:20 Well, unbeknownst to me, he had seen The Samurai, I think, like four or five years ago and was
00:25 like looking for something like that.
00:26 And so I wrote him out of the blue and just said, "Listen, I'm going to send you a script.
00:30 I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, but we'd love to have you and it's very odd."
00:37 And he said, "Odd?
00:38 It sounds great.
00:39 Send it."
00:40 So I sent it to him and about three hours later, he wrote me back and said, "I'm in."
00:44 And I was like, "Okay."
00:45 And he had been looking to try and do something that was sort of uncompromising and harrowing
00:54 and simple, you know?
00:59 And so this sort of fell into his lap.
01:03 Hang on.
01:04 He made you wait for three hours?
01:05 What is that about?
01:07 He read it in three hours, so I was thrilled.
01:09 But I got to say, he's a cool cat.
01:10 If you could make Brad a killer, would you?
01:11 Is that your next one?
01:12 Make Brad?
01:13 If you could make Brad a killer, it would be nice to be able to do that.
01:14 Now, I don't think so.
01:15 I don't know what Brad's...
01:24 Brad's going to be in Formula One for a while.
01:25 Yes.
01:26 He's a love of our lives, I guess.
01:27 Yeah?
01:28 I have to ask, can I ask from your Brad catalogue, if you could go back and perhaps edit any scenes
01:29 or any film, is there anything you'd like to do now?
01:30 Brad visits?
01:31 No.
01:32 No.
01:33 I mean, look, I don't want to sound like a crybaby, but once you finish with them, once
01:51 you've seen a movie in dailies, you've seen it in a rough cut, and you've seen it three,
01:58 four hundred times, you're done.
01:59 As you enjoy the little bit of a walk like us, Christmas time, can you sit back, relax,
02:00 look back at someone looking like you on TV?
02:01 Oh, mine?
02:02 No.
02:03 No, no.
02:04 No, it's horrible.
02:05 And you've achieved so, so much.
02:06 What is the dream next thing?
02:07 Is there anything you still want to tick off the bucket list?
02:10 Well, I have a couple of things, but I can't really tell you.
02:16 Because I'm worried that I jinx it.
02:23 What about a musical?
02:24 I would love to do a musical.
02:28 But a really mean one.
02:29 No.
02:30 Thank you.
02:31 Thank you very much indeed.
02:31 Thank you very much indeed.
