Presenter Nicola Thorp sends message to Blackpool as her new TalkTV show kicks off

Blackpool star Nicola Thorp delivers a message to her hometown from the studio of Talk Today -  her new breakfast show with Jeremy Kyle.

00:00 Hi there, I'm Nicola Thorpe. I am the new co-host of Talk Today, which is Talk TV's

00:08 brand new breakfast show. We started on Monday this week from 6am till 9.30am. And I'm a

00:14 sand grown-un. I'm from Blackpool, born and bred, very, very proud Blackpoolian. I am

00:22 the daughter of a rock maker. My family make Blackpool rock. If you cut off my arm, it

00:27 would read Blackpool rock right through the middle. I'm really proud to have been part

00:33 of this show and hopefully continue to be part of the show for quite some time, fingers

00:37 crossed, because what we're big on on Talk Today is hearing from your point of view.

00:45 So often now, news is very London-centric, very city-centric, and what we want to do

00:49 is reach out to the regions, including Blackpool, my love, my hometown, and talk to local residents
