2011 Frankfurt: Kia GT Concept

Senior Editor Jonny Lieberman takes a look at the rear drive GT Concept from Kia at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

00:00 Hey everybody, I'm here at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and that's a Kia.

00:14 They're calling it the GT concept, and as you can see, it's a huge departure from their

00:17 usual styling.

00:18 Now, the big news is that it's a rear wheel drive car.

00:23 So like Hyundai did with the Genesis, Kia's decided to get into the rear wheel drive game.

00:27 Now, this is just a concept, and it does have some cool stuff, like the suicide gullwing

00:32 doors, but most importantly, under the hood, there's a 3.3 liter turbocharged V6 that makes

00:38 390 horsepower and 394 pound feet of torque.

00:44 Even though this car won't survive the auto show circuit, we're hoping the engine and

00:48 the rear wheel drive platform does.
