Man accused of fatal stabbing released in bail day before

A man has been charged with fatally stabbing his mother and setting her house on fire in southwest Sydney.

00:39 He did not appear at Bankstown local court today where his lawyer didn't apply for bail.

00:45 Mr Sifranco was also charged with breaching bail and contravening an apprehended violence

00:50 Court documents reveal he was released on bail on Saturday after he allegedly choked

00:54 his mother at the home in a separate incident on Friday.
