00:12 Bertoldi led the Mass on the occasion of the Day of the Virgin of Las Mercedes, patron
00:16 saint of the Dominican Republic, in the province of La Vega, where thousands of parishioners
00:21 came to commemorate the feast.
00:23 In his homily at the National Sanctuary, Bertoldi said that the issue of the canal being built
00:28 by the Haitians on the Massacre River, which the two territories naturally share, must
00:34 be resolved through dialogue.
00:35 In this sense, the representative of Pope Francis urged that all voices be heard at
00:40 the talks table, such as those of the farmers and traders who seek to support their families
00:45 in the binational market.
