00:03 - All right, now let's move on from FanDuel to DraftKings
00:06 and a little bit of different data coming in.
00:08 These are numbers, Jim, from the month of August
00:12 and we've got some data here from New Jersey
00:15 right across the way that sets yet another record
00:19 in sports betting there.
00:20 - Yeah, so those New Jersey revenue totals for August
00:25 were approaching record high levels, like you said,
00:28 and DraftKings was a big leader of that.
00:31 Now, it's important to mention just briefly
00:34 how the structure of financial reporting
00:37 for New Jersey sports betting works.
00:40 There are a couple of different operators,
00:42 two, sometimes three, kind of under the umbrella
00:46 of a single license that's tied to a racetrack
00:51 or an Atlantic City casino.
00:53 So when you look at it, it says,
00:56 you know, Resorts Digital Gaming had this big revenue month.
01:01 Obviously, that group of operators is headlined by DraftKings.
01:06 So all in that group combined for $57 million
01:11 in August revenue.
01:14 It's the second highest month of revenue ever
01:17 in New Jersey sports betting.
01:19 The highest was the Meadowlands Racetrack,
01:25 which is headlined by FanDuel.
01:28 They have the highest record of monthly revenue
01:31 at 64.4 million back in November of 2021.
01:36 So DraftKings, certainly the large driver of that increase
01:41 that we saw in August here.
01:45 And the overall total, $96 million in New Jersey revenue,
01:53 third highest ever in sports betting history
01:57 in the state of New Jersey.
01:59 And what we're seeing too, overall, looking at the revenue,
02:04 year over year increases, nine straight months in New Jersey.
02:08 And that did take a little bit of a hit
02:11 after the New York market opened up.
02:15 We saw New Jersey slow down just a pinch,
02:18 but over the last nine months,
02:20 things starting to pick up steam again.
02:25 And just one more quick note on New Jersey overall,
02:30 first state in the post-PASPA era
02:36 to eclipse $40 billion in sports betting handle.
02:41 So their tops there, obviously it's a population center,
02:48 sports crazy part of the country,
02:52 and certainly plenty of bettors
02:55 staking a fair bit of money every single month.
