Brazil battles wildfires despite wintry weather

Wildfires in Brazil's Bahia state are being fueled by strong winds and unseasonably high temperatures, despite it still being winter in the country. To address the increasing number of fires caused by the heat wave, Bahia's forestry-based companies have initiated a campaign, and more than 150 military firefighters have been mobilized to combat the blazes in various areas, including the renowned Chapada Diamantina national park.
