We begin with massive wildfires raging in California amid a sizzling heatwave.
More than two hundred people trapped in a camping area in California were airlifted to safety over the weekend, as wildfire rapidly spread in central California.
About 20 of the evacuees reportedly had injuries ranging from broken bones to burns.
California has been dealing with heatwaves and some of the worst outbreaks of wildfires in years.
According to local authorities, nearly 15-thousand firefighters were battling 23 fires across the state as of Sunday morning.
Many locations in California also registered record-high temperatures on Saturday, which experts say amplified the fires.
