00:00 In Episode 6 of Ahsoka, Balon's skull can feel a powerful presence on the planet of Pyrrhidia,
00:04 a being that he believes is a source of great power unlike anything that we've ever seen before.
00:09 So the question is, what or who is this powerful being that Balon senses?
00:13 Now we've got a lot of ideas on who or what this powerful force user could be,
00:18 as well as what other dark secrets lie on this mysterious new planet,
00:22 such as huge force creatures, literal force gods, the original host of Snoke,
00:26 and the most powerful beings in the universe,
00:29 the beings that George Lucas had planned to be at the forefront of his sequel trilogy, The Wills.

01:06 Let's dive into this video.
01:08 So back in episode three, Shen asked Balin,
01:11 "What happens when you find Thrawn?"
01:12 "For some, war. For others, power such as you've never dreamed."
01:18 Now, after seeing episode six,
01:19 it is clear that Morgan, Elisabeth and Thrawn have a simple goal in mind,
01:22 getting back to the main galaxy.
01:24 Balin, on the other hand, seems to have other plans in mind.
01:27 As a former Jedi, Balin was told stories about this galaxy that's far, far away.
01:31 "The children of the Jedi Temple call it that. It comes from old stories. Fairy tales."
01:36 It's likely that Balin was even told these stories by Hu Yang,
01:39 just like Ahsoka and many Jedi before and after their time.
01:42 "I remember them from the stories you would tell us,
01:45 when we were younglings back at the Temple."
01:48 Now, while Balin had seemingly been acting as a mere mercenary for Morgan Elisabeth,
01:52 it would appear that he believes the fairy tales that he heard about Peridia are true.
01:56 Now, Balin believes that on this planet lies a great source of power
01:59 that he learned about long ago in those Jedi children's stories.
02:03 "The existence of the Great Mothers confirms this."
02:05 Now, back in the main galaxy, we know there are many other users of the Force
02:08 beyond just the Jedi and the Sith.
02:10 The Pergol space whales that Ahsoka and Ezra used to travel to Peridia,
02:14 they use the Force to travel through hyperspace.
02:15 There are also the Loth-wolves on Ezra Bridger's home planet Lothal,
02:19 who use a kind of hyperspace tunneling to travel across their world.
02:22 [Music]
02:25 And then, of course, there's the Ben-Doo.
02:27 "I'm the one in the middle, the Ben-Doo."
02:29 "What's a Ben-Doo? I don't watch Star Wars Rebels."
02:31 Yeah, well, you know what? And that's a common critique of this show,
02:34 that you have to, like, watch Rebels to understand what's going on.
02:36 But the thing is, this is more like a live-action cartoon
02:39 that's the next chapter to follow Clone Wars and Rebels.
02:41 Like, I get so giddy watching moments like Ahsoka meeting Anakin in live-action
02:45 because it's like you're experiencing the joy of the cartoon, but, you know, now as an adult.
02:49 So the show is able to fill you with childlike nostalgia
02:52 while you also engage with it on a more adult level.
02:55 Exactly! And this balance between childhood and adulthood is how I live my entire life.
02:59 And that's why I love Magic Spoon. They're the sponsor of this video.
03:02 Magic Spoon tastes like all the cereals from my childhood,
03:05 but it has no gluten, no soy, and there are zero grams of sugar.
03:08 And it's the same cereal that Star-Lord was eating in Guardians 3.
03:11 But most importantly, it tastes so good.
03:12 Now, you can build your very own custom box from cocoa,
03:16 fruity, frosted, peanut butter, and maple waffle flavors.
03:19 Plus, other awesome flavors including honey nut, blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll, and birthday cake.
03:24 And this one is my new favorite, cocoa peanut butter,
03:26 but I also like this new pumpkin spice one. It's perfect for the fall.
03:29 Now, I am not kidding when I say how high quality this cereal is.
03:32 Listen to this. Zero grams of sugar, 14 grams of protein,
03:36 and only four net grams of carbs in each serving.
03:38 Plus, only 140 calories, and it's high in protein.
03:42 So guys, this is an actual great breakfast that sets you up to have energy for the rest of your day.
03:47 But mostly, it's just fun.
03:49 Like, we may be grownups, but be the grownup you always wanted to be when you were a kid.
03:52 Eat fun cereals and watch Star Wars.
03:54 In fact, I love Magic Spoon so much that I have not gone back to regular cereal.
03:58 And they are so confident in their product that it is backed with a 100% happiness guarantee.
04:03 So, if it's not for you, they'll refund your money and you can part ways as friends.

04:15 So, what were you saying about the Bendu?
04:17 Oh, right. So, in Star Wars Rebels, we are introduced to the Bendu,
04:20 a very large, very powerful ancient being who's referred to as "the one in the middle,"
04:24 a being between the dark and the light,
04:26 a balanced being who holds a philosophy very reminiscent of Star Wars legends' Grey Jedi.
04:31 So, characters like Balin Skull, Shin Hati, and even Ahsoka Tano are often compared to Grey Jedi.
04:36 But I should note here that the concept of Grey Jedi is kind of stupid,
04:39 and George Lucas was against it.
04:40 The Jedi are defined by their following of the light,
04:43 their adherence to the good side of the Force.
04:45 When you start using the dark side, it corrupts you, kind of like a drug.
04:48 You wanna buy some death sticks?
04:49 You don't want to sell me death sticks.
04:51 At least that's what we've seen so far in the saga with people like Anakin and Ben.
04:54 Heck, even Luke felt the pull of the dark side when he almost killed his nephew.
04:57 Now, this is what makes Balin so appealing.
04:59 He seems like the first Force user we've seen to be able to draw from both sides of the Force.
05:04 Balin Skull is a Force user who does not swear allegiance to the Jedi or the Sith,
05:08 so it makes sense that he would be seeking a balanced Force being to help him achieve true power.
05:12 Power that can only be achieved by true balance.
05:15 Now, I think that we've got some clues as to what this mysterious beast could be.
05:19 The Ahsoka series has given us a lot of medieval knight imagery through Balin Skull,
05:23 from his attire, his sword, and the way he fights.
05:25 We've also got dark magic witches.
05:27 You do our ancestors credit.
05:30 So, like I mentioned in our Easter egg video,
05:32 be sure to check that out if you haven't, by the way,
05:34 I think the powerful medieval beast could be...
05:36 a space dragon.
05:38 Teeth like razors, claws like meat hooks, extremely fond of precious metals.
05:42 Yes, I know what a dragon is.
05:43 What, person? You're crazy.
05:45 So, star dragons are these serpent-like dragons who can soar around in space,
05:49 similar to the Purgle.
05:49 Now, star dragons are ancient beings that had lifespans of around like 6,000 years.
05:54 That's more than six times Master Yoda's lifespan.
05:57 Now, in the episode, we hear Balin say...
05:59 The whales came here to die.
06:00 Viridia is a graveyard.
06:04 Star dragons did the exact same thing.
06:06 When a star dragon was nearing its death,
06:08 they would travel to an uncharted planet simply referred to as the graveyard of the dragons.
06:12 So, with it being confirmed that Viridia is the place where the Purgle come to die,
06:16 and Balin referring to the planet as a graveyard,
06:18 it's likely that this is the same place that another species of giant space creatures,
06:22 the star dragons, also come to die.
06:24 So, Balin is looking for a dead space dragon?
06:26 No, no, no.
06:27 My point is that like the Purgle, these space dragons know where Viridia is.
06:31 So, maybe there are stories that were told by the Jedi about a star dragon who lived on Viridia.
06:36 A dragon who held great power and ancient knowledge about the Force.
06:40 Morgan says in this episode that her people first traveled to the main galaxy by riding space whales.
06:45 My people were among the first to harness and ride the creatures in the days before time was counted.
06:50 But now, the once powerful Dathmeri are reduced to nothing.
06:54 You can see their kingdom in ruins, overgrown.
06:56 What caused that destruction?
06:58 I think that the Force Witch's kingdom was brought down by a Force-using dragon.
07:02 Now, as cool as that would be, it doesn't have to be a dragon.
07:05 These series like Ahsoka and The Mandalorian have been doing a lot of legwork
07:08 between the original trilogy and the sequels to make this...
07:11 Somehow Palpatine Returned.
07:13 Somehow makes sense.
07:14 If you want to celebrate that cinematic moment,
07:16 be sure to get our Somehow Palpatine Returned t-shirt.
07:18 Now, I should also mention here another group of powerful Force beings,
07:21 and that is the Mortis Gods.
07:23 So, we've talked about this a lot on the channel,
07:24 but there is this weird three-episode arc of The Clone Wars
07:27 where Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka encountered these three Force beings
07:30 who are basically embodiments of different aspects of the Force.
07:33 The light, the dark, and most importantly, the balance.
07:35 Now, these figures appeared again in a mural in Star Wars Rebels,
07:39 and as Sabine explains...
07:40 "They're archetypes."
07:41 Now, even though these three Mortis Gods died in The Clone Wars,
07:44 it is very possible that since they're archetypes
07:46 that represent different aspects of the Force,
07:48 that they still exist, just in different forms.
07:51 "I'm a thousand years old! You can't kill me!"
07:53 So, as Mortis was a kind of Force world,
07:56 perhaps Peridia is also a kind of junction point of the Force,
07:59 pointing why Force-using whales like the Purgle travel here.
08:02 Therefore, the Mortis Gods could be living within this world.
08:05 The Mortis Gods could be responsible for the destruction of the Dathmiri Kingdom.
08:10 I'm not sure it's 100% likely.
08:11 I'm just throwing this out there so we have all the information.
08:14 Now, we know that this powerful Force on Peridia is not Palpatine
08:18 because, according to canon, he is now on Exegol.
08:21 That's the Sith planet that we find him on in Rise of Skywalker.
08:24 But, whatever mysterious Force that's residing on Peridia
08:27 could still be connected to the return of Emperor Palpatine.
08:30 So, let's start with Snoke.
08:31 The Snoke body served as a vessel for the consciousness of Palpatine.
08:35 And, in The Mandalorian, we have seen the early stages of the Empire
08:38 trying to create Palpatine a cloned body
08:40 that's powerful enough to contain his essence and wield the Force.
08:43 In season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian,
08:45 the Empire is seeking Grogu for his high M-Count.
08:48 M-Count being midi-chlorian count.
08:50 "Midi-chlorians are a microscopic life form that resides within all living cells."
08:55 "And we are symbiots with them."
08:56 "Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist."
08:59 "And we would have no knowledge of the Force."
09:01 I do find it hilarious though that while Star Wars is using the concept of midi-chlorians,
09:05 they're like avoiding saying that word like the plague.
09:08 "Don't think. Don't say it."
09:10 But, finding Palpatine a suitable host proved very difficult for the Empire.
09:13 According to the Rise of Skywalker novelization,
09:16 Rey's father was actually a flawed clone of Palpatine that had no Force sensitivity.
09:20 So, you actually could say that he was no one from a certain point of view.
09:24 The point is, the Sith cultists had a really hard time creating a proxy clone body for Palpatine.
09:28 So, what if the missing piece to creating Snoke is found on Pyrrhidia
09:32 and brought back to the main galaxy by Thrawn?
09:35 This episode implied pretty heavily that Balin and Shen will betray Thrawn.
09:38 Err, how so?
09:39 Well, there's Balin's remarks about Thrawn's mission being the one for fleeting power.
09:43 "That sort of power is fleeting."
09:45 And Shen being displeased with Thrawn's betrayal of Sabine.
09:48 "I thought you were to honor your agreement."
09:50 So, perhaps at the end of this series,
09:52 whatever Balin seeks on Pyrrhidia will actually be taken by Thrawn.
09:55 So, do you think the Snerk comes from Pyrrhidia?
09:58 Oh, well, dude, not exactly.
09:59 Like, fans have theorized on the origins of Snoke for a long time.
10:02 And there were some pretty out there theories.
10:03 "I find your lack of faith disturbing."
10:06 Such as Snoke being Mace Windu, Grand Moff Tarkin, Boba Fett, like, you name it.
10:10 But there were also some pretty good theories out there.
10:12 Such as him being the old master of Palpatine himself, Darth Plagueis.
10:15 "Do you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"
10:20 But one of the most interesting theories was that Snoke was one of the original Force users.
10:24 "I don't know where you get your delusions, laser brain."
10:27 And even though we now know that he was a clone pieced together for Palpatine's control,
10:30 the DNA that makes up Snoke could still be that of the original Force user.
10:34 A Force user who came from Pyrrhidia.
10:36 So, like I said, there are lots of Snoke theories.
10:39 Two of which could point to Snoke coming from either the Wills or the Prime Jedi or both.
10:43 "Wait, what's a Prime Jedi?"
10:44 Well, in the last Jedi, we saw an image of the Prime Jedi on the floor on the Temple of Ak-Tu.
10:49 As well as the actual Journal of the Wills inside of this tree.
10:53 "The original Jedi texts."
10:55 So, like the Prime Jedi was the first Jedi to ever use the Force and he founded the Jedi Order.
11:00 Other than that, we don't actually know much about the Prime Jedi.
11:02 So perhaps we could learn that this OG Force user came from this galaxy far, far away.
11:07 Maybe the Prime Jedi was the first Force user in the main Star Wars galaxy.
11:11 But he could be one of many from this other galaxy where Pyrrhidia resides.
11:15 And this could all be explored in James Mangold's upcoming film
11:18 focusing on the origins of the Jedi Order.
11:20 Now, George Lucas's original idea for the sequel trilogy
11:23 was going to focus on these characters called the Wills.
11:25 Now, we could do a whole video explaining Lucas's original idea for the Wills
11:29 and their connection to the Midichlorians and the Force.
11:31 But long story short, the Wills and the Shamans of the Wills
11:34 were ancient beings who were essentially one with the Force and like determined destiny.
11:38 So, if Pyrrhidia is where this all began,
11:40 perhaps the planet is where the first wielders of the Force began.
11:43 Meaning that on Pyrrhidia, Balin could find the balance that he has been searching for.
11:47 And if a being such as a Shaman of the Wills were to be captured
11:50 or even if DNA from a being so powerful were to fall into the hands of the Empire,
11:55 that could play a crucial role in the resurrection of Palpatine
11:58 and the creation of Supreme Leader Snoke.
12:00 When Morgan, Balin, Shen, and Sabine arrive on Pyrrhidia, the Nightsisters say,
12:04 "It reeks of Jedi."
12:05 So, this means that these sisters have not only heard of the Jedi,
12:10 but they have likely had battles with the Jedi.
12:13 And if the Jedi have stories of Pyrrhidia,
12:15 then it stands to reason that a great deal of the Jedi,
12:17 or maybe just Ezra Bridger, have been giving them hell since he arrived.
12:21 We'll just have to see.
12:22 Now, it's also worth mentioning that Pyrrhidia is confirmed
12:24 to be the original home planet of the Nightsisters.
12:27 "That is Pyrrhidia, the ancient homeworld of my ancestors, the Dathomiri."
12:32 Now, we have recently speculated that the Nightsisters could be connected
12:35 to an ancient race of Force wielders called the Zepho.
12:38 We saw the remnants of Zepho civilization in the game Jedi Fallen Order.
12:41 Now, they were neither Jedi nor Sith, but they were extremely strong with the Force.
12:45 But, like most who tamper with the dark side, they fell victim to its temptation.
12:49 Long story short, this led to the downfall of their civilization.
12:52 The remaining Zepho are rumored to have fled the galaxy
12:55 to a place that they called the Great Unknown.
12:58 So, it is possible that the Zepho could have wound up on Pyrrhidia
13:01 when fleeing the main galaxy.
13:02 In the Jedi Fallen Order game, we do see this Zepho temple
13:05 that is very similar to that of a Nightsister temple.
13:08 They also have very similar technology,
13:10 such as the spherical mechanics of the star map, that led to this galaxy.
13:13 So, as we've theorized in the past, the Zepho may have simply become
13:16 the Nightsisters over thousands of years.
13:18 Or maybe, they taught the Nightsisters their original Force magic.
13:21 In the pad batch, we also see a giant kaiju-like robot that looks like the Zepho.
13:26 So, the power the Balon feels could even be like one of these robots,
13:29 but powered by a Force kyber crystal.
13:32 Okay, Person, you're throwing out a lot of theories here,
13:34 but what is Balon's plan once he finds whatever is calling to him?
13:37 Great question, buddy.
13:38 Each of these beings that we've talked about,
13:39 whether it's a Bindu-esque dragon or an ancient species that is stronger than Force,
13:43 they all have one thing in common, balance.
13:45 And, like I mentioned at the start of this video,
13:47 Balon shares a lot of qualities of what's known in legends as a Grey Jedi,
13:51 as does the title character of the series, Ahsoka.
13:54 So, whatever this mysterious being or place turns out to be,
13:57 I think that Balon's goal is achieving balance.
13:59 Balon shows in this scene that he is exhausted by the back and forth
14:02 of the Dark Side and the Light fighting for control.
14:04 - "Follow the Jedi. Rise of the Empire."
14:09 "It repeats again and again and again."
14:14 And he's got a point.
14:16 While Anakin supposedly did bring balance to the Force when he defeated Palpatine,
14:19 that balance didn't last long.
14:21 We even hear Anakin's voice say in Rise of Skywalker,
14:24 "Bring back the balance, Rey, as I did to you."
14:26 So, Balon says that the power Thrawn seeks is fleeting.
14:29 "That sort of power is fleeting."
14:31 Balon is looking to end this cycle, and to do so, he seeks the beginning.
14:36 Like we mentioned earlier in the video, Peridia could be where it all began.
14:39 So, Balon could be seeking knowledge,
14:41 knowledge of the Force before it was corrupted by the dogmatic views of the Jedi and the Sith.
14:46 Balon could be hoping to learn true balance, and with that balance, true power.
14:50 - "Power such as you've never dreamed."
14:53 A power that would give him the ability to use the Force as it was
14:57 when it was first discovered by the first Force-wielders on planet Peridia.
15:01 But it's also possible that Balon is seeking a great power that Ahsoka Tano
15:05 and Ezra Bridger have already discovered, the world between worlds.
15:08 So, the world between worlds is a realm between all of space and time
15:11 that lets you access any point in history.
15:13 Or, as a Sith historian explains it in Rebels,
15:16 "It's a pathway between all time and space.
15:20 He who controls it, controls the universe."
15:25 So, with access to the world between worlds, Balon could theoretically rewrite history.
15:30 He could start all over from the beginning and change the course of time.
15:34 A mission like this would be fitting for someone in Balon's position,
15:37 a wartime general who totally has some PTSD from watching everything he ever knew
15:41 burn before his eyes.
15:43 And that destruction came at the hands of a fellow Jedi in a Dark Lord of the Sith.
15:47 - "I watched everything I knew burn."
15:49 So, it makes sense that Balon would distrust both sides of this conflict.
15:53 But, like Ahsoka told Ezra when he wanted to use the world between worlds to save Kanan,
15:58 - "Kanan gave his life so that you could live.
16:00 If he's taken out of this moment, you all die."
16:05 So, we could see Ahsoka and Ezra explain to Balon that they understand the desire to fix the past.
16:10 Like Balon, Ahsoka and Ezra have experienced great loss and tragedy throughout their lives.
16:14 Ahsoka was a child soldier who saw thousands of her friends die,
16:18 both clones and Jedi, at the hands of her best friend and master.
16:22 Ezra was orphaned at a young age and was also a child soldier who lost friends
16:26 and his master at the hands of the Empire.
16:28 So, my prediction is that they will convince Balon that his attempt to rewrite history
16:31 will cause sheer chaos that could end existence as they know it.
16:35 Or maybe Balon is going to have him rewrite history so this never happens.
16:38 - "Somehow Palpatine returned."
