00:00 It wasn't about the fashion.

00:01 It was about the women.

00:03 That's what a supermodel is.

00:04 - It's the first time we're all together in our 50s.

00:14 - You see our photo, so you feel that you know us.

00:18 - When you come together with your chosen family,

00:22 I think that's emotional.

00:24 - There's something about that shared history that we have.

00:29 - I feel blessed that we're here today.

00:33 - We've all gone through so many things in our own lives.

00:37 - Cindy, Linda, Christy, and Naomi

00:43 are still redefining what it means to be a model.

00:46 - There was a feeling about them that they wanted more.

00:52 - I was not seen as a person

00:55 who had a voice in her own destiny.

01:14 and I would not be included.

01:16 I wasn't gonna be bullied for the color of my skin.

01:19 - What I loved about the girls, they were a group,

01:22 and that was so fabulous.

01:24 - We were always together and we made great photos together.

01:27 - You know, I just felt like to be together as a group,

01:29 it just was so fun.

01:31 - They were my sisters.

01:33 - You get this phone call

01:34 that George Michael wants to shoot us in his video.

01:36 - We made a decision, I will do it.

01:38 I'm gonna do it.

01:39 Yes, okay, I'll do it.

01:42 - Everything changed.

01:43 - You can start to call the shots

01:44 and be an active participant in your career.

01:47 - All of a sudden,

01:48 we were the physical representations of power.

01:51 - I wanted to go further.

01:52 I wanted to push the envelope.

01:55 - They brought their artistry to the image.

01:58 - They would see things we didn't necessarily see.

02:00 They're like the Mona Lisa, the face of her era.

02:04 - We helped break down barriers.

02:13 I was like, why are they quoting us this?

02:16 - It wasn't about the hair and the makeup.
