Residents whose land has been earmarked for hundreds of kilometres of overhead powerlines in the state's south say they're devastated that a parliamentary inquiry has endorsed the proposal. The inquiry chair says laying the infrastructure underground would be unworkable and too expensive. But those affected say their land will be irreversibly damaged.
