00:00 Speaking of which, Dalvin Cook is back with the Jets, and they're of course expecting him to have
00:05 an impact. They cut Zonovan Knight, so we know that they feel relatively good about the combination
00:10 of him and eventually Brees Hall, whether it's initially or soon thereafter. And let's not
00:15 forget Michael Carter is still there as well. What do you make of Cook as the season begins?
00:19 Yeah, I think the Jets' plan with Cook is probably to have him sort of split carries with Brees Hall
00:26 early in the season. I think by the end of the year you're going to see Brees Hall be the clear
00:30 cut top running back there, and Dalvin Cook will serve as an explosive number two punch there
00:35 because Cook has a lot of tread on the tires, and that's not a knock on him, that's just the nature
00:40 of the position. So if you can limit his carries later in the season, he'll be more effective for
00:45 the playoffs in theory. And with Hall, where he's coming off the major knee injury, if you limit his
00:50 carries early in the season as he works back up closer to 100% in game action, he should be better
00:56 by the end of the season. So I kind of think we're almost going to see an inverse where Cook gets
01:01 more work early in the season, and by the end of the year Hall's going to have more work. And I
01:06 can see because Cook came to the team late and has been dealing with shoulder surgery recovery of his
01:10 own, early in the season it might be a true three-man mix with Michael Carter getting some
01:14 touches, and we'll all be looking at this from a fantasy football perspective saying, "What are
01:19 they doing? Why are they giving Michael Carter these touches?" So I have a feeling this is going
01:24 to be frustrating for Jets fans and fantasy owners early on, but I think eventually Dobbin Cook,
01:29 once he works into the rotation, will probably get enough carries to be considered a flex play
01:35 in fantasy, and that probably continues throughout the season. And Brees Hall will keep climbing up
01:40 the running back rankings as the year goes along.
