00:00 A rider was arrested in Quezon City for not wearing a helmet.

00:04 He was also caught by the police for a crime that is now illegal and has an election gun ban.

00:10 A motorcycle rider was arrested while being chased by the police.

00:17 He ran away from the Komelag checkpoint on the Quirino Highway in Valitia, Quezon City.

00:22 According to the police, the suspect was arrested at the checkpoint because he was not wearing a helmet.

00:27 He stopped for a while and when the police approached him to look for documents,

00:33 such as his license and ORCR, he suddenly fell down and there was a little chase.

00:39 When we caught him, we also found out that the motorcycle he was riding did not have a plate number.

00:45 The suspect, Jomer De La Cruz, was also caught with an improvised gun and bullets.

00:52 This is the fourth time that De La Cruz will be jailed after being involved in theft, illegal drugs and injuring.

01:00 Accordingly, the barangay said that he was always involved in the theft.

01:04 He did not complain because he was afraid of him.

01:09 The suspect admitted to his crime.

01:11 It's just for my protection.

01:13 So you are saying that he committed the crime?

01:24 The suspect faces complaints of resistance and disobedience to an agent of personal authority,

01:30 violation of the Motorcycle Helmet Act and Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in relation to Omnibus Election Code.

01:43 In Las Pinas, two men were arrested after being caught with a gun and bolt cutter.

01:49 According to Superadio DZBB, the two men were seen riding motorcycles in the off-land area of the barangay, Pulanglupa.

01:58 They were not wearing helmets and they were not stopped by authorities.

02:03 So the police chased them.

02:06 When they finally got the gun and bolt cutter, they did not have a statement.

02:12 The possession of the gun was strictly prohibited because of the ongoing election gun ban.
