Popular drag queen Ella Warra has gone public with her journey to transition to a woman. She says she is a a proud trans woman, ready to live her most authentic life.

00:00 I honestly don't know how to start this, so I'm gonna be awkward and be like "Hey Siri, play I'm Coming Out by Diana Ross"

00:06 Oh my god it actually worked, wait

00:12 Hey everyone, I have had a lot going on personally as of late

00:19 and don't worry, it's all good things, well most people think it's a good thing, I see you

00:25 Catholic Church, but um

00:27 For the last few years I've been on a really long journey of self discovery

00:34 mostly something that I've internalised because I guess of the way that the world is

00:40 or how my family and friends would react to it and I've been so stupid for that

00:45 and when it came down to it I thought, what better way to come out and be my true self

00:51 I've never backed down from anything so I don't know why this has been holding me back for so long

00:57 nothing in the world is going to stop me from being me

01:01 so now all of my closest friends and family know this already

01:06 but everyone here on the interwebs, my extended family, or my extended chosen family around the world

01:12 and everyone that's ever supported me in my drag career so far, you probably don't know

01:19 you all might know me as Ella Warrer, the drag queen

01:23 but from now on, outside of all the glitter and costumes, I'll simply just be Ella

01:29 Ella Cosaroo, a proud trans woman ready to start my journey of living the most authentic life

01:36 that I've held myself back from living for so long

01:41 now I have been very fortunate to be surrounded by the most supportive group of friends

01:48 drag family, and most importantly my immediate family

01:52 as I took my first steps in coming out in private

01:56 this last couple of weeks I got to have a wine with my closest girlfriends

02:02 I had all my drag family say "Duh, it's about time"

02:07 and I got to shed some tears with my mum and sister

02:11 in the most positive way possible

02:14 I even had my dad message me and he was like

02:17 "I heard you're trying out for the women's football team in a couple of years, ha ha ha"

02:22 which is honestly, to me, that's the best way for my dad to react

02:26 so I'm just grabbing my bb's, I'm just getting used to myself

02:29 I understand there's going to be a lot of learning and adjusting for a lot of people in my life

02:35 but also at the same time, I know I can't erase the last 30 years of my life

02:41 I love Jake, I've loved being Jake

02:44 and he's brought me on the journey to get me here to who I am today

02:48 and to everyone else that doesn't understand, I guess I can dumb it down for you

02:56 when I was born I was Jacob, when I came out I was Gay, I was Jake

02:59 I started drag, I was Ella Warrer

03:01 and now I'm transitioning and I'm simply just Ella

03:04 it's my final evolution, because I'm a Pokemon I guess

03:08 now I guess everyone else might be a little bit disappointed

03:14 because I know you've loved my big bald head for so many years

03:17 and there's been so many memes and TikTok memes

03:20 of me being in an egg carton, shining it up like a bowling ball

03:24 and even that one TikTok of me getting laid as an egg and cracking

03:28 and me coming out with my bald head

03:30 and don't get me wrong, I thought these were hilarious

03:33 I guess my hair, well lack of hair

03:37 and my body was one of the biggest factors holding me back from coming out

03:43 I was always in my head thinking I can't be a woman

03:47 I'm too much of a large man or I can't be a woman because I can't grow hair

03:53 these are the insecurities that I've kept internalised for so long

03:57 and kind of almost just embraced as my own because I didn't know how to handle it

04:03 but I'm taking the steps now to turn that around

04:06 and personally create a body I feel comfortable living in

04:10 so I guess over the coming months and years

04:15 a lot is going to be changing with me physically, mentally, emotionally

04:20 and you might see me looking like this

04:23 or you might see me looking like this

04:25 or you might see me looking like something in between

04:28 but I'm super excited to start this journey

04:31 and have everyone around that's been supporting me for so long

04:35 as you all may know, transitioning does not come cheap

04:41 there's a lot of other people within the community that also need assistance

04:45 when it comes to their own personal journeys

04:48 and there's nothing I would love to do more with my platform

04:53 that I've had for the past few years than to help others who need it to

04:59 so please keep an eye out for some events that I will be running

05:03 I'm going to be organising some events to use as fundraisers

05:07 and raising money to help all those in need of support

05:12 when it comes to their transition within the drag community

05:15 including myself, we have other trans divas such as Lotta, Rose, Cherry

05:22 and there's so many more that need help

05:25 for now I have started my own personal GoFundMe
