Storms to cause some travel delays for one of the final Fridays of summer

00:00 taking you across the nation for your Friday. We are expecting some travel

00:04 delays as you're getting set for some of the last weekends of summer. Let's

00:07 face it. A few thunderstorms likely for Seattle and Portland. So some minor

00:11 delays there and this will be kind of an introduction to more moisture in

00:15 places like Seattle as we get into next week. Meanwhile, off towards the

00:18 southwest, it's a few hit or miss thunderstorms, but for the most part, no

00:22 problems, though Denver, some of those mountains nearby will set off some more

00:25 thunderstorms in the region and there will also be some travel delays due to

00:29 thunderstorm activity from Minneapolis to Omaha towards Casper places like

00:34 central Kansas and Hayes will get some thunderstorms farther south. It's all

00:38 about the heat, though. Little Rock 104 108 in Dallas. As we head to the

00:43 southeast, there's not a ton of relief here either. 101 in Nashville. So while

00:48 there aren't much in the way of thunderstorms out there, we will have

00:52 some of that heat to contend with farther north relief in Chicago, mid

00:55 eighties for your high on Friday, so that feels better for us as you push

01:00 towards the northeast, though we're finding more wet weather working and

01:03 that's gonna slow you down. Boston. A few minor delays due to some of those

01:06 showers in the area and showers and thunderstorms likely for New York to

01:10 Washington D. C. This is where we'll have more minor delays likely as some

01:15 of these thunderstorms kick through, and that's why we're highlighting a

01:18 higher risk for flight delays on Friday. Typically, we're looking at

01:22 anywhere from 1 to 300 on average flight delayed kind of day. So the next

01:26 couple of days will be typical, but for your Friday, a little higher than

01:30 average.
