02:18 And in these flocks, during the day, they feed somewhere

02:21 in the vicinity of ponds, meadows, fields, on the grasslands.

02:24 However, especially in the afternoon and evening,

02:27 they flock to ponds, to such collective habitats.

02:30 So now is just such a very interesting transition time.

02:33 In the evenings, from such a late afternoon to the evening,

02:37 you can observe cranes,

02:40 which flock to collective habitats.

02:43 There are several hundred of these cranes so far.

02:46 I think there will be several thousand birds in a month,

02:49 because more and more birds will arrive from the north

02:52 and from the northeast.

02:54 These flocks will be getting bigger and bigger.

02:56 And the Milickie Ponds are a very important stop

02:59 on the cranes' hiking route.

03:05 So there are several such large ponds,

03:08 especially the Grabownica Pond or the Stary Pond

03:11 in the western part of the Baryczy Valley,

03:14 where a lot of these cranes gather.

03:17 And they just feel safer at night in the flock.

03:26 They exchange where there are abundant ponds,

03:29 where it is worth flying, where it is safe.

03:32 But they also close those bonds between them.

03:35 Because later they also wander in large groups

03:38 and it is important for them that this social element

03:44 and good with these neighbors and companions of the journey.

03:47 By observing the birds,

03:50 we can also observe many other animals,

03:53 because the Milickie Ponds are a very diverse ecosystem.

04:05 the so-called oaks,

04:08 which are a great habitat for many other species of animals,

04:11 including, for example, for the plaids.

04:23 but it is a time of late summer

04:26 and the journey of these young plaids.

04:29 So also walking somewhere between the ponds,

04:32 it is worth looking under your feet

04:35 so as not to trample the little frog,

04:38 or the kumak.

04:41 However, a very good time to observe the deer has also begun.

04:44 It is worth looking at the reed shrubs among the ponds

04:47 and observing whether a deer's den

04:50 is not coming out of the reed.

04:53 Now, this year's plaids are 3-4 months old,

04:56 they are already fully functional,

04:59 they follow their mothers more and more,

05:02 they are able to easily swim

05:05 this distance between the edge of the pond and the reeds,
