Leeds Rhinos coach Rohan Smith reflects on his side's 24-22 win over Warrington Wolves.

00:00 on to the performance but the means to the end I guess is the two points.
00:03 Yeah I've said it a lot during this year that we've never been far away from
00:09 a result once in a time. We've found a way to get there today, good resilience at times
00:19 when the wave was going the other way. We just had to find a way to get there and in the end
00:29 enough execution under pressure in crucial moments and then goal kicking from Reece is
00:38 critical in the end. We'll take that as I said to the players. We probably played better at times
00:45 than that and not got the result but that was a good hard-fought game, pretty open end-to-end,
00:50 afternoon summer rugby as it maybe was intended when they decided to go that way however long ago.
00:58 So I guess as a head coach then you're looking more at the fact that there was resilience and
01:01 character rather than letting warranting into the game a few more times. Is that
01:05 if you were balancing it out how you felt? Yeah I thought both teams were hungry for a victory and
01:13 finding a way to generate opportunities and to scramble and stay in it at times.
01:23 Yeah it was one of those days where we just had to find a way and
01:28 we've had a lot of distractions this year but what I respect about the crew in that room at
01:37 the moment that they're not looking to use them as excuses at any point. They're just getting on
01:43 it and getting on with it and I think if anything that group is pulling tighter and tighter together.
01:49 We've been in the trenches a lot this year during the week and on game day. Lots of
01:56 close hard-fought games so we're going to need that resilience and that
01:59 togetherness next week away at Huddersfield.
