00:05 While speaking at Fan Expo Chicago on Saturday, the 42-year-old Shazam actor took a shot at
00:10 studio filmmaking.
00:12 According to Entertainment Weekly, Levi spoke about, quote, "the amount of content that
00:15 comes out of Hollywood that is garbage."
00:18 He said, "They don't care enough to actually make it great for you guys.
00:21 They don't.
00:22 How many times do you watch a trailer and go, 'Oh my God, this looks so cool.'
00:26 Then you go to the movie and it's like, 'This is what I get?'"
00:29 He went on to say, "They know that once you've already bought the ticket and you're in the
00:32 seat, they've got your money.
00:33 And the only way for us to change any of it is to not go to the garbage.
00:37 We have to actively not choose the garbage.
00:39 It'll help.
00:40 It'll help a lot."
00:41 Last month, Levi made headlines for calling movie critics, quote, "insanely unkind" in
00:46 their reviews of Shazam!
00:47 Fury of the Gods.
00:48 "Look, I might not have as much experience as you because I'm not super old like you,
00:52 but I've seen all of the Fast and the Furious movies, lady.
00:55 It's all about family!"
00:59 The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Levi's reps for any additional comment.
