Ashish Kumar Chaudhary is being seen as a dark horse in the nine member Indian boxing contingent at Tokyo Olympics. The Himachal boxer came into the limelight when he won silver at the 2019 Asian championship in the 75 kg middleweight division. He clinched a Tokyo 2020 quota during the Asia and Oceania qualifiers in Jordon in March 2020, a month after losing his father. A hard-working boxer, 26-year-old Ashish can be unpredictable, according to his coaches. This will be Ashish's maiden Olympics.
